Oceanbroad Cleaning Guide
To effectively remove dirt, footprints, sunscreen, fish blood, rust, and other tough residues from your marine traction pad, follow these steps carefully to maintain the appearance and longevity of your EVA flooring.
1. Routine Cleaning
For daily dirt, footprints, and general residue:
⦁ Prepare a mixture of warm water and a mild neutral cleaner (e.g., dish soap).
⦁ Use a medium-bristled boat brush to scrub the surface thoroughly, ensuring the solution penetrates the textured material.
⦁ Rinse completely with clean water for 3–5 minutes.
⦁ Dry with a clean towel.
2. Targeted Stain Removal
Stain Type: Recommended Method
Sunscreen / Oil: Apply an all-purpose cleaner or degreaser. Scrub with a medium-bristled brush until the stain lifts, then rinse thoroughly.
Fish Blood:
⦁ Use a dedicated EVA deck cleaner. For fresh stains, a soft brush with neutral cleaner may help.
⦁ Avoid bleach to prevent discoloration or damage.
Rust Stains: Soak the stain with white vinegar. Let sit for 3–5 minutes, scrub gently if needed, then rinse.
3. Safety & Maintenance Notes
⦁ Oxalic Acid Warning:
If using oxalic acid for rust:
⦁ Avoid contact with pad edges or seams.
⦁ Check local chemical handling regulations.
⦁ Always wear nitrile gloves and safety goggles.
Recommended Cleaners:
Use EVA-specific marine cleaners for best results and environmental safety.

Meguiar’s Car Wash
